Tips for the Bride 2 B
Dressing for your Wedding
There's so many styles of
wedding dresses to choose from; fairytale
wedding dresses, designer wedding dresses, vintage wedding dresses,
gothic wedding dresses, or you can even design your own wedding
dress. Remember to wear the right
lingerie, most wedding
dresses are off the shoulder so you may choose to wear a basque & don't forget your garter.
Tiaras are simply stunning, choose
from designer tiaras, swarovski crystal, diamantes, pearls,
gemstones, modern or classic designs. Alternatively choose a
feather fascinator for yourself or your bridesmaids.
Accessories are important but don't over do it, remember less is
more. Wedding shoes should be comfy as you'll be on your feet
most of the day.
Do a dress rehearsal a month before the date. It is a good
idea for you & your bridesmaids to have your
hair styled beforehand
so that your stylist will know what to do on the day. If
you're having a make-up artist
get them to do your make-up at the same time. Take a photo of
you & your bridesmaids to check that you don't clash.
The Groom
Many wedding dress shops also hire suits & shoes for men.
There are also specialist suit hire shops
which have a wide range of styles which can even be tailored to fit.
For less formal styles there is a wider selection of
menswear shops. It is important that the outfit must not clash with the bride.
Mother of the Bride
Weddings are an ideal opportunity to wear a hat. Whatever you
choose to buy or hire your hat make sure that it's not too big.
You don't want to block other guests' views.
Wedding Flowers
A florist can provide you with a portfolio of
wedding flowers & bouquets for
you to choose from. Make sure that you order them for the
correct time & day and don't forget to order flowers for your
bridesmaids.
Wedding Cakes
Wedding cakes come in all designs; traditional fruit filled wedding
cakes, fairy cakes / cup cakes are popular, or best of all a
chocolate wedding cake.
Wedding Caterers
Your venue may supply a menu for you to choose from. Buffets
are a great idea and caterers will give you a choice of foods to
suit your budget. Caterers may also be able to hire glasses,
linen, wine & champagne. For outdoor weddings a hog roast is a
popular choice. For extra indulgence why not hire a
chocolate
fountain & jump in!
Wedding Venue
Hotels are a great choice of venue and you can book a room to take a
break & freshen up. Many hotels are also
licensed venues where
you can hold your ceremony & reception. Add some tradition
by hiring a toastmaster.
Town halls, castles &
historical buildings are a must-have wedding venue.
Remember to ask at your venue if you can have
balloons, flowers or a
spectacular firework display.
Wedding Photographer
A professional wedding photographer knows best how to make you &
your wedding party look great. A video is also a lovely
keepsake. Be warned that leaving uncle Fred in charge could be
fatal after a few glasses of champers.
Don't forget you can hire a
lucky sweep, they look great on your
photos.
Wedding Cars & Transport
Arrive in style in a vintage
wedding car or Rolls Royce. Be
glitzy by choosing a limo. Or for the romantic, a
horse &
carriage bring a tear to the eye.
Wedding Entertainment
Discos, bands, wedding singers, orchestras, quartets, magicians,
clowns are all the icing on the cake. Don't forget to tell
them your song & any thank you requests that you would like them to
make in advance.
Wedding Gifts
Most department stores will provide a
wedding gift / list service to make
things easy for you. Don't forget a small gift for the bridesmaids /
page boys to say thank you.
Invitations & Stationery
Your wedding invitation is the first thing that your guests will see
and forms their first impressions about your wedding. For
ideas on beautiful, stylish wedding stationery and accessories in
traditional, contemporary and funky designs and colours

stationery pages.
Honeymoons
The Bahamas & Seychelles are popular locations for
honeymoons.
Some couples take their children on honeymoon, why not try
Disneyland Paris as a fun filled honeymoon? England, Ireland,
Scotland & Wales offer stunning locations & relaxing luxury hotels.

The most important factor for anyone planning a wedding is piece of
mind - the knowledge that whatever happens, it's covered. Fully comprehensive
Wedding Insurance provides this piece of mind and doesn't cost as much as
you think.
